Heritage design for the modern home.

J.C. and Rollie is a collection of goods for today’s home, inspired by the care and craftsmanship of the past.

This timeless assortment of housewares — over three hundred pieces in all — went from concept to production to shelf in under nine months. Our scrappy, resourceful team put our creative chops to work, delivering a top-selling collection under tight deadline.

The development of this line required a commitment to excellence in every stage of the process. We combined in-depth market research with all-angles consumer insights to design a family of products that were perfect for the market — and for her life, too.

My personal responsibilities included art direction, product design, brand voice, and copywriting.

 Branding + Voice

Short section of a longer video introducing the J.C. and Rollie brand.

J.C. and Rollie, the namesakes of the brand, were two brothers who founded the company at the turn of the century. We developed the voice of the line to reflect their values: honesty, authenticity, and a dedication to crafted excellence. Our vocabulary was no-frills and approachable, with just a hint of vintage charm.

These solid marble Chapati bowls were originally used to mix dough for Indian flatbread. We found, refinished, and re-purposed them as conversation-starting accessories for the kitchen or tabletop.
